Neetu Kapoor took to her IG handle and shared a photo of Alia Bhatt’s Met Gala 2024 look. She praised her daughter-in-law and added a single word compliment: “Fabulous.” Not only Neetu, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni too was fascinated by Alias desi look and expressed her admiration for it. Riddhima re-shared Alia’s post on her IG stories and wrote:

Alia Bhatt looked elegant in a 3D floral Sabyasachi saree at the Met Gala 2024
Alia Bhatt opted for a custom-made Sabyasachi saree in mint green with 3D floral embellishments and a 23-foot train. The actress’ couture saree was hand-embroidered with silk thread, beads, sequins and semi-precious stones and studded with glass beads. Alia paired her surreal drape with a handmade blouse that was beautifully embellished with emeralds. Basra Pearls, tourmalines and multicolored sapphires. To accentuate her look, the actress added a whimsical bun and accessorized it with a statement Matha Patti. She also wore earrings studded with emeralds and sapphires and looked as elegant as ever.
Alia Bhatt revealed why she chose a sari at the Met Gala 2024
It was indeed a historic moment for Alia Bhatt as she oozed grace in her surreal gown at the 2014 Met Gala. During an interaction at the event, Alia spoke about her experience and shared that she made sure that the pressure did not hinder her. She also revealed that making her saree required 1,965 hours of labor and around 163 artisans. The actress proudly represented India in one desi Saree, and she shared:
“It’s not about putting too much pressure on yourself and taking it seriously. It’s a massive and big deal, but it was also about having fun and light inside so your face looks radiant and happy. That’s what I focused on. When I thought of the Garden of Time dress code, I felt it needed something timeless and nothing is more timeless than a sari. It took a lot of love, work and effort, and anything that takes a lot of love and time lasts forever, just like the Garden of Time.”

When Neetu Kapoor became a cheerleader for Raha’s parents
Talking about Neetu Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s bond, the duo never misses an opportunity to cheer for each other. A few months ago, Neetu Kapoor released the first announcement poster of the film: Love war on her IG handle. The film will release on Christmas 2025 and stars Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles. For the unversed, the film marks the reunion of Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali after a 17-year gap. Neetu praised Raha’s parents for the project and wrote:
