Moushumi Chatterjee is one of the greatest actresses in the history of Indian cinema. It was in the 1970s when she simply ruled the Indian film industry and was one of the highest paid actresses of that time. The beginning of Moushumi Chatterjee’s falling out with her daughter, Payal Mukherjee’s husband Dicky Sinha
Payal Mukherjee, the elder daughter of Moushumi Chatterjee and Jayanta Mukherjee, married renowned businessman Dicky Sinha in 2010. According to a report in India Today, Moushumi Chatterjee’s husband Jayanta Mukherjee, her daughter Payal Mukherjee and her husband Dicky Sinha were directors of Tethys Business and Projects Private Limited. However, due to some disputes and differences in their business in 2016, the relations between both families deteriorated to an irreparable extent.

For the unversed, Moushumi Chatterjee and Jayanta Mukherjee’s daughter, Payal Mukherjee, suffered from juvenile diabetes at a young age. As she grew older, Payal’s health deteriorated further and her mother Moushumi accused her husband Dicky Sinha and her in-laws of neglecting her daughter’s health. Furthermore, Moushumi added that Payal’s husband and her in-laws have refused to pay her medical bills.

Moushami Chatterjee did not attend the funeral of her elder daughter Payal Mukherjee and Tea coffee
Things took a bad turn when Dicky Sinha filed a defamation case against his mother-in-law Moushumi Chatterjee. In an old interview with SpotboyE, Dicky once revealed that Moushumi did not attend her daughter’s funeral and Tea coffee. He also added that his wife Payal was in a coma for over two and a half years. Dicky also shared details about her wife’s health and revealed that she was resuscitated twice. She said:
“Moushumi didn’t even see Payal’s face after her death. She wasn’t at the funeral or in the morgue. Her father and sister Megha only came for the funeral. Payal was in a coma for almost two and a half years, but twice we managed to resuscitate her a little and even get her walking with support, but this led to several complications. She even had to undergo surgery twice during this entire illness.
According to reports, the feud between Moushumi Chatterjee and Dicky Sinha is still ongoing. The cracks went too deep after the death of Payal Mukherjee, who died in December 2019 at the age of 45. According to reports, both families are not in contact with each other and the situation has reached a point where both sides are no longer interested in mending their ways.
