“Save iCarly“became a viral hashtag on social media after the reboot series was abruptly canceled last year. Nickelodeon’s reboot premiered in 2021 and ran for three seasons. In October 2023, amid the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, Paramount+ released a shocking statement condemning the cast and crew of iCarly participated in.

It is still unclear why the channel decided to cancel the show. However, Miranda has maintained a positive attitude towards the matter. She performed earlier this year Live with Kelly and Mark and remembered seeing a child in Target who recognized her iCarly.
“It’s funny because there was a moment where a lot of young kids didn’t really know who I was because [iCarly] hasn’t been active for a while. Then Netflix got the show and they started playing the old seasons,” she explained. “I was actually at Target recently and a little boy looked at me in the toy department. He kept looking up at me. He said, 7. I thought, “Oh my God, he has to watch the show!” And then he kind of kept following me. I thought he was going to say he was watching. Instead he said, ‘You’ve grown old!'”
