  • The kit includes several forged carbon fiber components.
  • The SUV’s interior has been redesigned with white leather and green accents.
  • A key highlight of Mansory’s latest G63 is the bulbous carbon fiber hood.

Ah, the Mercedes-AMG G63. The undisputed king of flashy off-road driving (or at least off-road driving within 10 miles of a valet). The Mercedes-AMG G63 has always held its own as one of the most confident SUVs on the market, but the latest version from Mansory takes that reputation to a whole new level.

This G-Class was recently equipped with the German tuner’s G850 package and taken to the streets of Paris for a photo shoot. The body kit alone sets it apart from a normal G63 and is finished in a dramatic matte green. If this G were spotted on the streets of the French capital among supercars, we suspect it would attract even more attention than some legitimate exotics – although not always for the right reasons.

Mansory’s G850 body kit for the Mercedes is extensive. It includes a revised front fascia with forged carbon fiber components, including the grille. There’s also a bespoke hood and a new forged carbon fiber housing on the roof with two large LED light bars. The Mercedes off-roader also sits on a set of new, blackened wheels, rocks distinctive side steps and has new tailpipes that emerge from the sides.

Mansory’s G850 body kit for the Mercedes is extensive and includes a comprehensive makeover that includes an updated front fascia adorned with forged carbon fiber components, including the grille. Additionally, there is a custom hood and a newly installed forged carbon fiber housing on the roof that is equipped with two large LED light bars.

The Mercedes is further enhanced with a set of new black wheels, distinctive side steps and new side-exiting tailpipes. Modifications at the rear continue with a fixed rear wing, a distinctive bumper and a new spare tire carrier, all made from forged carbon fiber.

Mansory’s redesign of the G63’s interior left no stone, or rather, one square inch of leather, unturned. The seats are now covered in soft white leather, an option that extends generously to the transmission tunnel, center console, door panels, dashboard and even the steering wheel.

For a touch of audacity, Mansory has included neon green seatbelts that look like a highlighter left to its own devices in the back seat. And because finesse is important in any high-end customization project, the vents and most switches and buttons were color-matched to the exterior paint. A final highlight is a green carbon fiber pattern that adorns the center console and steering wheel.

As with any good tuner project, there’s a lot going on under the hood. The 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 has been massaged to produce up to 900 hp and 885 lb-ft (1,200 Nm), although lower-performance upgrades are also offered.

The price seems to be a closely guarded secret. But if you have to ask about the cost of a Mansory, then you probably can’t afford it anyway.
