Mahindra is all set to launch its new SUV, the XUV 3XO, on April 29. Follow our website to see a detailed review. The XUV 3XO is actually a redesigned version of the XUV300 that was already on sale. It looks like Mahindra has already started production of the new XUV 3XO. A series of new images have surfaced online where a production version of the XUV 3XO has been spotted on the road ahead of its official launch.

The images were shared by a user on Reddit. The person who posted these pictures wrote: “I took them on the way to Trimbakeshwar, looks like Mahindra has tested something that looks like the upcoming Mahindra XUV300.” I took a look at the interior , and it definitely felt luxurious and in keeping with today’s trends. However, the exterior remained the same as the previous generation apart from a few little things here and there. What do you think? Will this impact the already crowded compact SUV segment?”
The images clicked by the user show the side profile and rear of the new SUV. The rear and front of the SUV are completely covered as these panels are significantly upgraded. The side profile of the SUV is similar to the previous version of the XUV300. Surprisingly, the alloy wheels on the XUV 3XO are similar to those that Mahindra already offers in the current version.
It remains to be seen whether Mahindra will offer different wheels for the SUV when it launches later this month. The door handles in the body color also remain unchanged. The SUV seen here in the pictures gets a Midnight Black color, a deeper shade of blue that looks great on this SUV. In the pictures here you can see three of these SUVs with the front and back covered.
We already have an idea of what the upcoming XUV 3XO will look like. The SUV will come with a completely redesigned front and rear. The front will feature inverted ‘C’ shaped LED daytime running lights, vertically positioned headlights with projector LED units and a gloss black element on the front grille with the Mahindra logo at the centre.
Towards the rear, the SUV has an LED connecting strip with LED taillights and a completely redesigned bumper. While the social media user who posted the pictures mentioned that the interiors felt luxurious, we can’t see any of that in the pictures. The XUV 3XO offers features like leatherette upholstery, adjustable headrests for all five occupants, a floating infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster and more.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO will be the first car in its segment to feature a panoramic sunroof and there is also a possibility of Mahindra introducing Level 2 ADAS with the XUV 3XO. The Mahindra XUV 3XO will compete with brands like Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue and Tata Nexon in this segment.
Mahindra will offer the XUV 3XO with the same engine options as the previous version. There will be a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 110 PS and 200 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with a choice of 6-speed manual and AMT gearbox.
Next comes the Turbo variant, which comes with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 131 PS and 230 Nm of peak torque. This variant is only available with a manual transmission. The third is an optional 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine that produces 115 hp and 300 Nm of peak torque. It is also available with manual transmission and AMT transmission.
