Lori Loughlin Fell to Her Knees After Learning That Bob Saget Had Died

Lori Loughlin is opening up publicly about it for the first time Bob SagetShe says she still can’t come to terms with her son’s death.

At an appearance on Jodie Sweetin And Andrea Barber‘S How rude, Tanneritos! Loughlin talked about her on the podcast Full house And Fuller house Co-stars premature death on January 9, 2022. He was 65 years old. Loughlin, who played Aunt Becky on the iconic sitcom, was asked if she remembered where she was when she heard the tragic news.

“I played golf. It was a Sunday and I was there [husband Mossimo Giannulli] and we were coming from the golf course and I had my phone in my bag,” Loughlin recalls. “I took my phone out of my bag and I probably had 25 missed calls.” As I look at my phone, I have 25 missed calls from John [Stamos]. I have 15 missed calls from Dave [Coulier]. I think I had a few missed calls from Candace [Cameron-Bure]. And as I look at my phone and think, ‘Oh, that’s not good,’ my phone rang in my hand and it was Jodie.”

Loughlin says she answered the phone and asked Sweetin what was wrong, at which point Sweetin delivered the devastating news that Saget had died.

“I just fell to my knees. And I just remember [Mossimo] “I tried to pick me up and take me to the car in the parking lot,” Loughlin said. “I still can not believe it. I still can not believe it. It’s still hard to believe…it’s such a loss. Somehow you still think, “Oh, maybe he’ll come back.” It’s just hard to believe.

Saget was tragically found dead in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida. His cause of death was accidental head trauma after “accidentally hitting the back of his head.”

More than a year after Saget’s death, Loughlin revealed that she visits the late actor frequently resting place. Saget was buried at Mount Sinai Cemetery in Los Angeles. The private memorial service was attended by Saget’s Full house Co-stars including Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

“I do, I do,” Loughlin said when asked if she still visits Saget’s grave. “My route for Angel Food Project When I make my deliveries, it’s right near the cemetery. So I often do the deliveries and then stop, get flowers, go up and put them on the grave.”

She added: “There’s something strangely comforting about it. His family is there, so he is close to his mother, father and sister. But the fact that he’s so close to Warner Bros., where we filmed the show, is somehow strangely comforting.”
