Lewis Hamilton Says Ferrari Signing Adrian Newey Would Be “amazing” as the F1 Design Genius Leaves Red Bull

Lewis Hamilton says it would be “amazing” if Ferrari signed Adrian Newey after he leaves Red Bull at the start of 2025.

Newey, considered Formula 1’s greatest car designer, can join a team from April 2025 after negotiating an exit from Red Bull.

Sky sports news understands that Newey held a meeting with a Ferrari representative last week. Newey is most interested in a move to Ferrari despite a lucrative offer from Aston Martin.

Should Newey move to Scuderia, he would work with Hamilton, who has signed a multi-year deal to move to Ferrari from 2025.

“Adrian has such a great story and track record. He’s obviously done a great job over the course of his career and dealing with teams and the knowledge that he has. I think he would be a great addition,” Hamilton said.

“Ferrari already has a great team. They are already making great strides and progress, their car is faster this year.”

“He [Newey] It would be a privilege to work with him.

Asked how much he would like to see Newey at Ferrari, Hamilton added: “Very much.”
