Latest Update “Master of Fate” 1.5 Released for Lords of the Fallen

Hexworks, the developer behind Lords of the Fallen, has released update 1.5, marking the “final milestone” for the game’s original content roadmap across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series titles in the franchise.

In a statement on its website, CI Games said there have been more than 30 updates since launch, “resulting in significant performance, stability and optimization improvements, as well as strict difficulty balancing in response to user feedback.”

“The update also delivers the final milestone in the game’s extensive post-launch roadmap: the Advanced Game Modifier System,” it confirmed.

CI Games, the publisher and owner that reduced its staff by 10% in January to maintain business stability, now aims to expand the Lords of the Fallen series. CEO Marek Tyminski told IGN that Lords of the Fallen had sold 1.3 million copies by the end of 2023, a number he described as “solid.”

“From release to December 31 last year, sales of Lords of the Fallen were around 1.3 million units,” he said. “This is a solid result that allows us to plan the further development of the brand.” Our goal now is to ensure that the next installments attract even more players, partly through refined and improved game design, partly thanks to increasing popularity this IP.”

“We would like to thank the many players who have chosen Mournstead since we launched six months ago. Their belief in our vision has been a real driving force for us,” Hexworks executive producer and studio head Saul Gascon said in a press release.

He explained that the game’s live support period has been expanded through an “ambitious post-launch roadmap” based on significant content updates and smaller releases to improve performance and stability.

He added: “Reaching version 1.5 with the ‘Master of Fate’ update and its truly groundbreaking modifier system marks the completion of this roadmap and makes the Lords of the Fallen experience the best yet.”

What is the Advanced Game Modifier System?

The latest feature, the Advanced Game Modifier System, gives players the ability to fully customize their gaming experience.

This system offers a series of seven modifiers that can be combined in various ways to make the game easier, more challenging, or to provide a new experience with each playthrough.

Options include randomizing enemy placement, adjusting mob density, and even incorporating a form of permadeath, which can now give the game options for a roguelite playthrough.
