Kim Kardashian Meets with Vice President Kamala Harris After Saying Donald Trump ‘doesn’t Like Her Very Much’

Kim Kardashian visited the White House to advocate for criminal justice reform. The 43-year-old media personality joined Madame Vice President Kamala Harris At a roundtable event on Thursday, April 25, they met with several people who have been pardoned for non-violent drug offenses.

“Can’t wait to tell you all about second chances at the White House today,” Kim wrote on her Instagram Stories alongside a selfie taken on the White House lawn. “Thank you very much, Madam Vice President.”

At the event, 59-year-old Kamala was photographed at the head of the round table, where she reportedly said: “I strongly believe in the power of redemption.” Isn’t it a sign of a civil society that we offer people the opportunity to to get their livelihood back and give them the support and resources they need to do that?”

According to several media outlets, the vice president also thanked him American Horror Story: Delicate Star for advocating for change in the American prison system.

“I want to thank Kim for your commitment and for using your platform in a way that really highlighted the importance of talking about and advocating for second chances,” Kamala said.

Kim reportedly responded, “I’m just here to help and spread the word,” before telling pardoned attendees at the meeting that she was “so excited to be here to hear your stories.”

Earlier this week the Kardashians Star appeared Jimmy Kimmel Live! to talk about her brand SKIMS, the second season of her AHS Performance and their current relationship with Donald Trump.

“I don’t think he likes me very much,” Kim told the host Jimmy Kimmel. “But I’m OK. You know, I think he’s done a great job with prison reform, letting a lot of people out and signing a great bill, the First Step Act. And that’s what I’m going to focus on.”

Last year, Donald called Kim an “overrated celebrity” in a social media post, even though the two had apparently developed a solid working relationship in the past. Kim – who publicly maintains a neutral political stance – met with the former host of The Apprentice in 2018 to discuss prison reform steps. The First Step Act is considered one of the few bipartisan measures taken during his presidency.
