Kendra Wilkinson and ex-husband Hank Basketts son, Hank IV, has grown up before our eyes.
“Congratulations @hank_baskett12, I love you so much and have seen you work hard to get where you are,” Wilkinson, 38, wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, April 24. “I’m so proud of you, my boy.” Carry on!!!”
The Girl next door alum uploaded a photo of her 14-year-old firstborn holding an acceptance certificate to Oaks Christian School, a private college preparatory and boarding institution. Hank also wore a sports shirt with the school’s official logo on the chest.
Wilkinson married Baskett, 41, in June 2009, two weeks after confirming she was pregnant with her first child. Hank was born in December 2009 and his younger sister Alijah, now 9, followed in May 2014.
Wilkinson and Baskett faced cheating allegations shortly after Alijah’s birth, but chose to stay together. However, in April 2018, Wilkinson changed his mind and filed for divorce. The process was completed the following October.
Since their separation, Wilkinson and Baskett have remained committed to co-parenting Hank and Alijah.
“I will love my ex-husband forever, you know, he is the greatest father to my children and that is all I really ask,” Wilkinson said exclusively Us weekly in May 2023. “That in itself is so good. It’s good enough and if something happens later, it happens. I will always love him and I loved him once. Love doesn’t just disappear.”
She added: “We only have a short time on earth and if you love someone, I will always love them, you know? And my kids are just so happy and so cared for.”
Wilkinson continued to rave Us At the time their children were doing well, Hank joined his school basketball team and Alijah devoted himself to community theater.
“You are so good and life is just getting good again,” the former Playboy model said Us. “I struggled for years…I was in a very bad, dark place for a long time. So life is finally starting to get good again and I hope I can carry on like this and keep pushing.”
A year later, Wilkinson repeated this Us that her children make her a better person.
“You make everything about my life easier. They are all right in my life. They ground me and make me a better person,” she said Us March. “They are such good children. I’m so lucky to have her. They don’t make anything a challenge. It’s just very simple.”
