Kelly Ripa could ditch her blonde hair in the near future.
Ripa, 53, opened up about growing gray streaks on a Wednesday, April 24, episode of Live! With Kelly and Mark. “I got my hair colored last night and I can’t tell you how long it will take to cover my gray hair now,” she told the audience, noting the husband and co-host Mark Consuelos I even wondered if she was almost “done” during the process.
“It takes hours and hours,” Ripa said, vowing she “still” sees silver hair the next day. “My hair wants to be gray. It just wants to be gray.”
Consuelos, 53, then asked Ripa if she was ready to say goodbye to her platinum blonde locks and embrace a new tone.

“I would,” she replied. “The quality is almost translucent, which I find strange. “It’s almost like colorless hair,” she explained, noting that it’s not a “silver” or “pretty white” color, which led Consuelos to suggest Ripa “keep” her blonde locks for now.
Ripa previously spoke with a guest about aging and experiencing “sagging skin” on a January episode of her podcast, “Let’s Talk Off Camera.” Demi Moore.
“I try to never turn around and look in the mirror — ever — when I’m naked,” Ripa admitted to Moore, 61. “I’m like, ‘Is that a dipped tea bag?'” she quipped.
Moore assured Ripa that she was fine. The women joked that they will have “naked time” to complement each other the next time they meet.
When she’s not busy filming her morning show or recording podcasts, Ripa rocks the red carpet in glamorous gowns. In March, she wowed at the 2024 Academy Awards in a Jason Wu dress. The sheer design featured a cowl neckline, thin straps, a thigh-high slit and an elegant train. She accessorized the look with soft makeup, a diamond necklace and old Hollywood curls.
