For those who may not know, we have featured both cars here on Cartoq. The green Maruti Suzuki Omni you see at the back has been converted into a pickup truck. It is one of the most heavily modified Omnis in the country. The owner of this Omni, Nikhil Kumar, has made it very special.

This Omni’s list of modifications includes a fully custom off-road specific metal bumper and blacked out headlight cover housing. There are also aftermarket projector LED headlight units. Another major modification to this car is the addition of a lift kit.

Additionally, it has been given a custom metallic green color. The biggest highlight of this vehicle is that the rear doors, seats and everything else have been removed. All of these things were replaced with a truck bed. It also features dual stainless steel quad exhaust pipes that exit behind the cabin.

This particular Isuzu V-Cross has been completely converted into a real monster truck. It features custom 12-inch suspension, massive off-road tires, and custom metal front and rear bumpers. Other highlights include the bespoke metal front fenders and rear roll cage with mounted spare wheel.

The owner also made a number of modifications to the drivetrain of this pickup. You can see that the exhaust pipes on this truck come straight out of the hood. Due to all these modifications, Kerala MVD has canceled the registration of this Isuzu V-Cross.

Isuzu and Omni raised

Yes, you heard that right. Kerala MVD has already canceled the registration of this particular truck in 2020. It was reported that the MVD team reached the owner’s house and handed him a hefty fine of Rs 48,000.

However, Abin Babs Abraham, the owner of the modified Isuzu D-Max V-Cross, challenged the MVD team. At the time, he said he would take the case to court. MVD Kerala then officially sent a suspension notice to the owner of the modified Isuzu D-Max V-Cross.

The registration of this truck was temporarily suspended in accordance with Section 53 Paragraph 1. The owner was then given 6 months to return this truck to stock with all modifications removed. However, instead of complying with the request, the owner allowed the registration to be suspended.

He no longer drives this truck on public roads. Instead, he now drives this truck on a flatbed to car shows and other locations. This particular Isuzu V-Cross monster truck is one of the most popular vehicles in Kerala and people queue up to have a look at it.
