Hertz Will Rent You a 1 of 100 Shelby Mustang Mach-E with a Simulated Borla Exhaust

I pride myself on knowing at least a few things about every car I see on the road, but the other day I walked in The angel and came across a black man ford Mustang Mach-E with gold Run Stripes I had never seen before. I frantically googled everything I could about it but found no information about it Shelby mustang Do it which are available to rent through Hertz, so I knew I had to dig deeper.

hertz has a long history of offering special editions in black and gold Shelby Mustangs. In 1966 hertz founded the “Rent-A-Racer” program, which enabled the tenants to try out a special high-performance service Ford Mustang built just for that TThe landlord, the Shelby Mustang GT350-H. hertz discontinued the program on the grounds that repair costs were too high, profit margins were too low, and inconsiderate customers were taking their rented GT350-Hs to racetracks and abusing them. Imagine someone brings a rented high-performance car offered through a program called “Rent-A-Racer” to a race track. Who could have predicted such tragic events? Aside from that, the surviving Mustang GT350-Hs are extremely sought after by collectors as only 1,000 examples were produced.

Heading into the 21st century, history repeated itself in 2006 when Shelby, Ford and hertz teamed up for a 40th anniversary Shelby GT-H Mustang that was more understated than the original GT350-H. For the 50th anniversary, Ford then produced 140 Mustang GT-Hs, which were rented at 17 airport locations in the United States. Now the three companies have come together again, but this time with electrifying results.

Enter the electric Shelby Hertz Mustang Mach-E, of which there are only 100 examples. Unfortunately, these black and gold special edition cars don’t get any performance upgrades over the standard Mustang Mach-E GT, but they certainly look and sound more special. Shelby added a vented hood, front splitter, and carbon fiber rocker panels; matte gold stripes on the sides and double stripes running from nose to tail on the top of the car; Shelby and Hertz emblems; and Shelby wheels with GT-H center caps. There are also a few badges for the interior.

In addition to the aggressive appearance, it is also equipped with Borla’s Active Performance Exhaust Sound System, which projects a simulated exhaust sound. Although the original GT350-H had a K-code 289 V8 under the hood, the Hertz Shelby Mach-E has more power, all-wheel drive, and cuts the original GT350-H’s 0-60 mph acceleration time by almost half.

Additionally, with only 100 produced, the Mach-E is ten times rarer than the original GT350-H. It may not be as cool as the original, but it’s a good-looking and fast modern version of the classic race car. Anyone can rent one of these special Mach-E’s as long as you are 25 years old or older, have a valid U.S. or foreign driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance.
