Harris Dickinson and Archie Pearch Launch Devisio Pictures, the Actor’s Directorial Debut Hits Theaters

EXCLUSIVE: The Iron Claw And Triangle of sadness Star Harris Dickinson has teamed up with producer Archie Pearch to form film and television production company Devisio Pictures.

The company’s goal is to promote filmmakers and creatives “who have a clear voice and work closely with emerging and established talent.”

Devisio has secured independent funding through a partnership with Tricky Knot, an entertainment financing and development company. Devisio will have its own film and development fund.

First on the British ensemble’s list is Dickinson’s feature film debut, which is set to begin filming this summer. The cast has not yet been finalized and plot details are unknown, but the film will explore the themes of homelessness and mental health. Funders include BBC Film, BFI and Tricky Knot.

Pearch has directed a handful of short films and worked as a production assistant on major Hollywood films. Most recently he was assistant to British super producer David Heyman and, among other things, got a front row seat on films Barbie, Wonka And Paddington in Peru.

Before launching Devisio in 2021, Pearch produced Dickinson’s directorial debut short film: 2003whose crew included acclaimed cinematographer Robbie Ryan.

Dickinson tells us about the company: “We are committed to encouraging bold and original ideas, taking risks and creating a collaborative and inclusive environment. Our goal is to create a strong reputation and a unique identity based on quality.”

Dickinson said of his film debut: “Over the past five years, I have been developing this story in the hopes of creating a relevant and courageous film that addresses issues surrounding homelessness and mental health. I have worked closely with my local community to make people’s experiences visible and we are trying to push the cinematic boundaries of what people expect from a film of this genre.”

“As the pieces of this puzzle come together, we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this journey with our partners at BBC Film, BFI and Tricky Knot who support our vision,” the duo added.

BAFTA nominee Dickinson had a breakthrough in the Sundance film Beach rats and is also known for FX series A murder at the end of the world. He will soon have A24 Small and Steve McQueen’s lightning.

Devisio is represented by Brillstein Entertainment and Gersh, while Nick Mahara and Dave Feldman serve as her attorneys.
