Eijaz Khan, best known as Wasim Khan from City Of Dreams, is currently seen as BIA agent Ravi Verma in Adrishyam – The Invisible Heroes on Sony Liv. Talking about his show and preparing for the role, he said, “Adrishyam is a unique name. “The invisible heroes,” is the slogan of the series, and perfectly reflects the action of the protagonists. They are the heroes behind their country’s success, but they always remain hidden. They are part of the crowd, they blend in with the crowd. They step out of the crowd, do their part to save the day, and then disappear back into the crowd.”
Eijaz Khan Talks About Sharing Screen Space With Divyanka Tripathi In ‘Adrishyam: The Invisible Heroes’; says: “We are as different as chalk and cheese”
He added: “I play a secret agent and luckily I’ve had a long time to prepare for it. “We were supposed to go on stage in August last year but it kept getting postponed. I think the most important thing is that we have our mentor in Mr. Aloka, who himself has 25 years of experience in the intelligence sector. He is an award winner who has also written several books. So I have recordings of our conversations with him. He gave me a lot of insights into his life. Most of us remember secret service agents or police officers from movies because we haven’t seen them in real life. I was lucky enough to meet Aloka ji. He doesn’t stand out from the crowd, he is a very sweet looking gentleman, he has his own smile, he has his own mysterious aura around him, he chooses his words carefully and sometimes when he doesn’t want to answer the question, he just will find a way out of it. So I tried to keep this character as close to him as possible. In fact, he was kind enough to call me after watching the first episode to tell me I did a good job.”
The Sony LIV show stars Eijaz Khan as team leader Ravi Verma and Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya as agent Parvati Sehgal as the duo is also working together for the first time. Talking about his experience with Divyanka, he says, “Divyanka and I come from a completely different universe. We are as different as chalk and cheese, but what we have in common is our willingness to learn. We make sure that we give 100% and do justice to every single scene. There was a period of adjustment, but now we have found the right place working together and now we understand each other and compliment each other. Working with Divyanka is very fulfilling.”
Talking about the USP of the show, he mentioned, “There are moments of comedy as well which gives a slice-of-life feel.” It is a wholesome show and the makers have ensured that it is not the whole Time is dark – there is also some entertainment. That makes it very worth seeing.”
