Would You Put a $75,000 Carbon Fiber Suit on Your Ferrari SF90? | Car Scoops

The visual improvements bring the electrified supercar closer to the wild SF90 XX in terms of road presence

Would you put a $75,000 carbon fiber suit on your Ferrari SF90?

  • The tuner 1016 Industries is giving its carbon aero program for the Ferrari SF90 Stradale / Spider a facelift.
  • The new components include the ventilated “race fenders” and the larger “race spoiler” at the rear.
  • Existing customers are welcome to upgrade while the complete package costs $75,140.

Ferrari SF90 owners have no shortage of aftermarket options to spruce up their plug-in hybrid supercar. To stand out from tuning enthusiasts, US company 1016 Industries has given its SF90 body kit a makeover with fresh carbon fiber elements that give it an additional visual touch.

The standout feature of Carbon Aero Program Version 2 is the introduction of “Race Fenders”. These feature integrated vents and bridge the gap between the standard SF90 and the more aggressive SF90 XX Stradale/Spider in terms of road presence. There’s also a new upper front lip next to the bumper intakes and a new “racing spoiler” at the rear that extends over a significantly larger area of the rear deck.

The new parts can be combined with the existing side skirts, front splitter, hood vents, rear diffuser and roof spoiler from 1016 Industries. Made from single-weave carbon fiber, these components are designed to match the quality of Ferrari’s carbon parts. Beyond the visual drama, the modifications reportedly make the SF90 “lighter and more aerodynamic than ever before” and can be combined with aftermarket wheels, as in the examples pictured.

According to 1016 Industries, the V2 program is compatible with the V1, meaning existing customers are welcome to upgrade their rides. The optical modifications are suitable for both the SF90 Stradale and the convertible SF90 Spider. In both cases, the tuner ensures that the conversion is completely reversible and occurs without any wear and tear on the vehicles, so that the value on the used market is not affected.

The tuner does not offer any performance improvements because the standard SF90 is already powerful enough ex works. The plug-in hybrid setup consists of a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine and three electric motors with a total output of 986 hp (735 kW / 1,000 hp). That’s less impressive than the SF90 XX’s 1,016 hp (758 kW/1,030 hp), but good enough for 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in under 2.5 seconds.

The entire kit costs $75,140, which is the cost of a brand new Porsche 718 Boxster. But fear not, if you’re on a bit of a tight budget (which we doubt if you own a Ferrari) or, more realistically, would rather stay under the radar, 1016 Industries is kindly offering each part individually. Treat yourself to the rear diffuser for just $12,800 or opt for the budget hood vents for $6,200. Don’t worry, all parts are made in the USA and will be ready for your SF90 in just a few weeks.
