The Dancing mothers The girls don’t mince words when it comes to the former cast members who couldn’t find time for the reunion.
During the upcoming Dance Moms: The Reunion particularlyFormer cast members in attendance, including JoJo Siwa, Kendall Vertes, Brooke and Paige Hyland, Chloe Lukasiak and Kalani Hilliker, took the opportunity to shade their no-show co-stars. In a brand new clip, the reality TV stars don’t dance around the topic of Nia Sioux. Maddie Ziegler And Mackenzie Ziegler decides to get out.
“I think everyone knows who’s not here,” laughs Kendall as clips of the three missing dancers play. “Maybe they just don’t think they need it.”
“Some people may still be processing something and it’s hard to talk about some of the things we’ve been through,” says Paige, while Brooke adds: “They’ve closed the book and don’t want to open it and to pull back.”
The video then shows the mothers, along with Kalani and JoJo, talking about the absent members of the family in another room Dancing mothers Family. While Paige, Brooke and Chloe were willing to give the three absentee dancers the benefit of the doubt, Kira Girard and JoJo were a little less forgiving.
“They chose not to be here and at the end of the day they did several interviews [they] “They say they don’t want this even in their lives,” said Girard, Kalani’s mother.
JoJo shared that she, too, was upset that the Zieglers and Nia didn’t show up for the film, pointing to Kelly and her daughters as a prime example of why they should have shown up anyway, even if they have mixed feelings about the show. Kelly, Brooke and Paige left the show in Season 4 after their mother got into a physical altercation with them Abby Lee Miller.
“It’s kind of sad to see that because I look at, especially, how your kids are here, how you left the show and that you can come here and say, ‘Look, I’m still interested in this,'” “It’s really cool to see and it’s like you still care about your past,” JoJo says.
She adds, “Them not being here is kind of like, ‘Let me erase my past, pretend it never happened, and shove it down the drain,’ when it’s saying, This is why you are who you are are.”
“The thing is, they’re not here, so why are they still trying to make headlines with this? Don’t talk about it.” Dancing mothers if you don’t want to be part of it,” says Kendall. “It’s literally the stepping stone to who we are today.” Without it, we wouldn’t be here Dancing mothers.”
In December, ET spoke with JoJo At the Dick Van Dyke: 98 Years of Magic Special and she spilled the tea on the highly anticipated reunion, which comes five years after the series ended after nine seasons.
“We have a squad, that’s good! There are many,” she said at the time.
This interview came after a photo of the group during filming made its way to social media, getting fans excited about the reveal project. Under the photo, dozens of commenters asked and encouraged the missing members JoJo responds in the comments,
“Grateful for this day! For anyone wondering about the few people missing, everyone was invited today, but only some wanted to be here,” she wrote in December.
It is currently unknown what role, if any, Abby Lee Miller will play in the reunion. Also present at the special event were mothers Christi Lukasiak (via FaceTime), Jill Vertes and Jessalyn Siwa.
Dance Moms: The Reunion airs May 1 on Lifetime.
