Nikki DeLoach was all for Goldy and Tom’s kiss Curious Caterer: foiled plans and she’s already dreaming about what’s next for the on-screen couple.
“I’m hoping for the romance with Tom and Goldy, I think they would be fun to play with,” DeLoach, 44, said exclusively Us weekly while promoting the Hallmark mystery film that premiered on Friday, April 25th. “You’re not really the dating type. They both lead such lives.”
DeLoach also played the caterer and amateur detective Goldy Andrew WalkerSince 2022 he has been detective Tom Schultz Curious Caterer: Dying for Chocolate. The pair have now appeared in four roles Curious caterer mystery Films, the latest creature Thwarted plans.
In Thwarted plans, the couple finally kissed after solving a murder at a medieval festival while trapped in a castle. DeLoach told us that there was originally more dialogue between Goldy and Tom before the kiss, but she pushed for it to be cut.
“You need[ed] Just go for it in that moment,” she remembers. “I’ve seen the film several times and I think it really worked.”
When it comes to what’s next for the couple, DeLoach noted that Tom has a “high-stakes job” and Goldy “finds himself in situations where the stakes are high at the end.” This dynamic makes their relationship “so unconventional” and shows how they “start to fall in love with each other,” said the actress.
“Personally, I don’t need to see them go on a date [movie] five. But what I would like to see is that they have kissed now [so] “What does that mean?” DeLoach said. “Usually you kiss after you’ve been on a date or two, but they’re over that. So what’s next for them?”
For the actress, she wants the next thing Curious caterer for the couple to “really get into it and explore it.”
“I’m looking forward to [the next installment] because so much has happened [movie] “Fourth, it’s ripe for a story and a lot of fun and romance,” DeLoach teased.
When it comes to future films, DeLoach also advocates for a more mature romance between Marla Maguire (Jaycie Dotin) and Dave Trach (Brock Morgan). Trach was introduced in 2023 Deadly vows as a sort of villain, but while trapped in the castle he begins to bond with Goldy’s best friend Marla Thwarted plans.

“I’m making an advance [Trach to stay] because something happened [movie] Third, Trach came in and our audience said, ‘No.’ They really didn’t like him at all,” she explained Usnoting that trach is “three-dimensional” and grows as it does so Thwarted plans.
DeLoach continued: “I hope so now [viewers] If you know why he is the way he is, then they will fall in love with him as much as we do. I hope it resonates with our audience too so we can win it back. Because I also love the dynamic between Marla and Trach.”
