Kam Customs from Karnataka did an excellent job in restoring this unique and rare pickup. The shop gave this truck a brand new candy yellow paint job on the outside. To enhance the amazing appearance, they have given it a two-tone color scheme with white color.

In addition to the paint, it also gets a custom metal front bumper. This bumper appears to be made from tubular steel. It protects the iconic seven-slat grille of Jeep vehicles, which is still used by Mahindra and American SUV manufacturers. This specially restored truck also receives custom fenders.

As for the cab of this Mahindra FJ 460 DX, it still has the same design. The only thing that has changed inside is the seats. This truck now features new seats and a large center armrest. As for the other, more noticeable changes to the side profile, the pickup gets a set of massive Maxxis Bighorn off-road tires.

These were wrapped in some gorgeous looking aftermarket alloy wheels in a lovely shade of white. Additionally, the video mentions that Kam Customs took on the task of custom-making the entire rear bed of the truck.

For those who may not know, the Mahindra FJ 460 DX was more popular in the southern regions of India. This truck was mainly used on coffee plantations and coffee farms.

Its practical design and four-wheel-drive capabilities made it well suited to tackling steep inclines and carrying heavy loads in the bed. In fact, its popularity was so great that it even replaced tractors in certain settlements.

This was done because driving tractors on this terrain ran the risk of tipping over on the steep inclines. As for the powertrain, this particular FJ 460 DX is powered by a 3.3-liter Simpsons diesel engine mated to a 4-speed gearbox.

A 2-speed transfer case was also installed. To improve the load capacity, some modifications were made to the truck’s axles. This truck was originally equipped with a different engine, but it was replaced because it did not meet emissions standards.
