Ashanti playfully shares a pregnancy video with Nelly
On Monday, May 6, Ashanti shared a video with fans on Instagram. In the clip, she appeared to be on FaceTime with Nelly.
“Baby! Are you in the cabin?” She asked. “We’re pregnant!”
The clip finally shows Ashanti holding up a Proov fertility stick and laughing.
“I already knew that,” Nelly replies.

Additionally, Ashanti captioned the clip: “Part 2! 6 hours earlier 😁❤️🙏🏽”
The video appears to be a continuation of the clip the singer previously used to announce her pregnancy to the world, according to The Shade Room.

More details on the couple’s reported co-ownership in Proov
The clip, shared on Ashanti’s Instagram, ended with a short text promoting fertility company Proov. According to the brand’s official website, the company specializes in home fertility testing to help monitor hormones, track ovulation, and determine pregnancy.
Forbes reports that the couple’s co-ownership of the brand was revealed in the wake of the pregnancy announcement.
According to Essence, the company’s CEO and founder shed more light on Proov in the wake of the couple’s revelation.
“We are the only FDA-approved and CE-marked home test to determine if there is a problem with ovulation,” explained Dr. Amy Beckley. “…if a woman does not ovulate properly, she may experience symptoms of hormone imbalance that can impact every aspect of her life. We are the first to be able to give women insight into their hormones without having to take a blood test or wait for a lab to analyze their samples.”
Ashanti and Nelly have yet to reveal more about their co-ownership of the brand. However, fans may be able to expect more video endorsements from the couple as business with the brand continues.

As The Shade Room previously reported, Ashanti announced her pregnancy on April 17. However, that and her and Nelly’s partnership with Proov weren’t the only things revealed that day.
At the time, Ashanti also revealed that Nelly had popped the big question in an interview with Essence – and said yes.
“This new year of my life is a true blessing filled with love, hope and anticipation,” she told the outlet. “Motherhood is something I’ve been looking forward to and it’s an amazing experience to share this with my family, my fiancée and loyal fans who have been so supportive of my career.”
Since then, the singer hasn’t been shy about showing off her growing baby bump.
