Amy Duggar: Josh Duggar Deserves ‘torture’ in Prison

For his cousin Amy Duggar, Josh Duggar should stay in prison forever.

Disgraced criminal Josh Duggar remains in prison, receiving occasional visits from some family members.

Josh also got into trouble for contraband. As a person and as a prisoner, Josh is far from a model citizen.

It’s likely that Josh will have a miserable time in prison. Amy hopes things get worse for him.

Josh Duggar is in prison

In April 2021, following the Department of Homeland Security raid on his place of business in 2020, authorities arrested Josh Duggar on charges of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse materials (CSAM).

During his trial at the end of the year, the court heard gruesome details about the photos and videos he received. Josh was so busy hiding his twisted interests from his wife and the rest of his family that he seemed to forget what he was doing illegal.

The court sentenced Josh on December 9, 2021. On May 25, 2022, Josh was sentenced to almost 13 years in prison. His attempts to appeal his case were rather unsuccessful. He is currently set to remain behind bars until October 2032.

Amy Duggar isn’t attending Josh’s pity party

“I hope every day is absolute torture for him,” said Amy Rachelle King, better known as Amy Duggar People regarding Josh Duggar’s ongoing prison sentence.

“I really hope so,” she then explained, “because what he saw, and what he looked at for his own fulfillment, were these children experiencing torture.”

Amy, who is also a mother, confirmed: “He deserved every second there and I hope he gets a longer sentence. “I hope he screws up again.”

When Amy speaks of “torture,” she means at least some of it very literally

It sounds like Josh – and please keep in mind that we have been following the process closely but are not experts in criminal investigations – downloaded a torrent file (i.e. a collection of tiny files that he downloaded via peer-to-peer peer software) and then reassembled; many programs are updated with it usually harmless Technology).

This file appeared to contain numerous images and videos, and while it is unclear what piqued Josh’s interest and which files he downloaded in full, at least some parts of the collection were the work of Australian murderer and rapist Peter Scully.

Scully’s unspeakable crimes targeted preteens and little girls, as well as victims as young as 18 months old. Even though Josh was more interested in less violent media that featured older, pre-pubescent victims, these were still very young girls whose lives were being ruined. That’s why Amy hopes he suffers.

Amy also knows Josh Duggar’s own victims

In addition to her obvious compassion for the children in the CSAM that Josh pursued and acquired, Josh abused several young girls as a teenager. This included four of his own sisters – meaning they were Amy’s cousins.

Josh felt protected then. He then cheated on his wife and downloaded CSAM. Because Josh never really seemed interested in repenting or becoming better, Amy said she “don’t know if he’s doing any work” to become a decent person in prison.

“I haven’t spoken to him and I won’t. “I won’t,” Amy reiterated. “If you cross these evil lines like that, there is no turning back. I just think there’s no turning back.”

For some terrible reason, Anna remains married to Josh Duggar despite his numerous crimes and personal betrayals.

Anna’s continued misguided loyalty to the monster she married makes all the difference over and beyond unpleasant. Amy met Anna at a funeral in 2023, but that was it.

“That was the last time. “I wasn’t really expecting to see anyone there and I was shocked to see her,” Amy recalled of the encounter. “I just looked at her and said ‘Anna’ and she was like, ‘I just need space.’ That’s all she said to me.”

Amy says she’s not overdoing it with Anna

“I understand, I can’t speak for Anna and I won’t try,” Amy reiterated.

“But I can’t imagine what she’s dealing with internally, let alone for the world to see,” she admitted.

“It’s heartbreaking in every way,” Amy emphasized. “And I just respected the fact that she needed space and didn’t try to push any further.”

It wasn’t the right time for Anna Duggar to intervene

“It was a ceremony, a viewing actually, at a funeral, and yes. “It wasn’t the right time,” Amy admitted. “And I didn’t want to make a scene.”

The Duggar cousin continued, “And I didn’t want to do that or draw attention to anything and clearly respect her, so I didn’t do it.” But if you ask me, I think she’s crazy. I do. I think she’s just really, really angry.”

Misdirected anger is a very common coping mechanism. However, it is not healthy. Amy might be a little attention-hungry on her worst day. Josh is a monster.
