Maruti Suzuki India Limited is gearing up to launch the all-new fourth-generation Swift. The launch is scheduled for May 9th and the company has already started official bookings. However, ahead of its launch, images of this new hatchback were shared online at a Maruti Suzuki dealership. The new Swift and all its changes can be seen in detail in the pictures.

It starts with the presenter mentioning that these are the very first images of the new Swift at an Indian Maruti Suzuki dealership. The images show the front, side, rear and interior of this new hatchback.

What we can see from the front is that the overall design is exactly the same as the international model. It features the same sleeker looking LED headlights with L-shaped LED daytime running lights. There will also be halogen bulbs for the indicators.
Otherwise, the radiator grille is in high-gloss black with a honeycomb pattern. Additionally, the Suzuki logo is placed outside the radiator grille. In addition, we can also mention the LED fog lights. The front also has a black diffuser in the lower area of the bumper.
Side profile and back
On the page you can see that the overall silhouette matches the international Swift. However, the aluminum rims have a slightly different design. It features a set of 16-inch 10-spoke diamond cut alloy wheels. It also gets the more traditionally designed rear door handles.
A high-gloss black C-pillar underlines the first-class look of the floating roof. As for the rear, the new fourth-generation Swift will come with a set of clear C-shaped LED taillights. These look much higher quality than the previous model.
It also gets a rear window wiper, a washer system and a window heater as well as a small, high-mounted brake light. We can also notice that the rear view camera has now been placed on the trunk lid instead of the bumper. Finally, there are also 4 rear parking sensors.
Inner
Inside, the hatchback gets the same dimensions for the rear trunk. It will also feature 60:40 split seats. The pictures then show the dashboard structure of the new Swift. It will come with a 9-inch Smartplay Pro infotainment screen.
Most likely there will also be wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The biggest difference we can notice compared to the international model is that there will not be a two-tone option for the interior. There will only be an all-black interior with scattered gray elements.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift: Powertrain
The new Swift is now powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z-series petrol engine. This engine will also feature a 12V mild hybrid system. It produces 81.6 hp and 112 Nm of torque.
Transmission options range between a 5-speed manual and an automatic. It has not yet been announced whether this automatic transmission is an AMT transmission or a torque converter. Additionally, this new powertrain will help reduce the hatchback’s fuel consumption by 3.34 km/h. The mileage is now 25.72 km/h.
