2025 Lamborghini Urus SE Plug-in Hybrid Introduced

Lamborghini has introduced its first plug-in hybrid version (PHEV). Urus Super SUV at this year’s Beijing Motor Show.

The Lamborghini Urus SE follows the Revuelto supercar as the second PHEV for the Italian carmaker.

This electrified Urus variant is set to replace the existing petrol-only Urus S and Performante as the Italian carmaker continues to push ahead with its electrification plans.

At this point it is unclear if and when the Urus SE will arrive in Australia. We’ve contacted Lamborghini and will update this story as soon as we hear back.

The Urus SE is powered 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 petrol engine to produce 456kW of power and 800 Nm Torque.

This V8 engine is enhanced with a Electric motor integrated into the eight-speed automatic transmission 141kW And 483 Nm.

The electric motor is powered by a 25.9 kWh lithium-ion The battery is located under the trunk floor and above the electronically controlled rear axle differential.

Lamborghini says the Urus SE has an electric range of more than 60 km according to an undisclosed efficiency standard. With electric drive it can reach a speed of up to 130 km/h.

Overall, the Urus SE has an overall system performance of 588kW of power and 950 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful Urus variant of all time.

It should be able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 11.2 seconds. The top speed is 312 km/h.

The Urus SE introduces for the first time a new centrally located longitudinal electric torque vectoring system with an electro-hydraulic multi-plate clutch, which is intended to distribute torque variably and continuously between the front and rear axles.

It is claimed that the transfer case works in conjunction with the new electronic locking rear differential, which can give the vehicle oversteer “on demand”.

On the outside, the Urus SE gets subtle design changes, including a new hood reminiscent of the Revuelto, revised bumpers and front grille, a new Matrix LED headlight signature, and a new rear spoiler and diffuser.

A range of alloy wheels with a diameter of 21 to 23 inches is offered. A new 23-inch Galanthus rim design is combined with new Pirelli P Zero tires.

Inside there’s a larger 12.3-inch infotainment system with updated graphics like the Revuelto, as well as a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. There are also new trims for the fascia, seats and dashboard.

Lamborghini says the color palette has been expanded thanks to its Ad Personam customization department, with more than 100 body options and 47 interior colors now available.
