In the expanded General Motors universe, Buick is the well-dressed character. GM has revamped its three-row midsize SUV lineup for 2024, expanding the Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia into edgier, beefier three-row SUVs with off-road ideas.
The Buick Enclave shares a platform with these models. So it’s all new for 2025. And while it clearly went to the same gym, it covers the look with a finely tailored outfit.
The 2025 Buick Enclave is new from the ground up. However, it eschews the loud, rugged design of GM’s other three-row midsize SUVs, opting to hide everything behind the sleek “wildcat” look of the new Buick lineup.
Buick has not released pricing. The 2024 model starts at $45,925 (including the mandatory $1,395 destination charge), but we expect the redesign will bring an increase.
Slicker look than other GM SUVs
It may be the boxiest Buick, but it softens the appearance with a few well-placed curves and the sharp-edged look now common across the entire Buick lineup. The radiator grille must not be smaller than the currently popular giant grille look. However, thanks to softer lines and a shape that narrows towards the top, it appears smaller.
A wide 30-inch screen surface dominates the dashboard – a combination driver instrument panel and central touchscreen mounted in an inverted trapezoid straight out of The Jetsons. If you’re reading about a Buick, you’re probably old enough to understand the reference.
The dashboard appears to consist entirely of soft-touch surfaces and smooth curves. A row of buttons beneath the large screen means not every function is performed via menus. The system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
A 12-speaker Bose audio system is standard – 16 speakers on the top Avenir versions.
Even base models have power heated seats. Avenir buyers also get cooling seats, a head-up display and power-folding second- and third-row seats.
328 hp, adjustable suspension available
GM’s Super Cruise hands-free on-road system is standard on all trim levels.
Under the hood is a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 328 horsepower. Buick will offer both front- and all-wheel drive (FWD and AWD) variants. Every Enclave uses the same 8-speed automatic transmission.
The Avenir is equipped with a gearbox that continuously adjusts the damping to suit road conditions, providing a smoother ride.
