In an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times, Huma Qureshi played the beans on her next project Mithya. The web show will premiere on February 11 on Zee5.
Huma Qureshi is preparing for the release of her upcoming web series Mithya. In an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times, Huma revealed her experience of working in the project and how she is a true blue ‘muhfat (sharp tongue)’.
Huma, who plays the role of a Hindi teacher in Mithya, spoke about her character and told HT: “The challenge was not to play the role as an essential Hindi professor, as the image shown in Hindi films I refer it to one of my Hindi teachers at school who was very prime and fair and very articulate. My character is from a Hindi professor but she is pretty well spoken, bilingual and she does it well for herself “I realized I had never done that before.”
When Huma was asked if she related to the character she plays in the show, Huma said: “Bilkul bhi nahi, mein also number ki muhfat insaan hun. Mere dimaag mein jo aata hai bol deti hun (Absolutely not, I “I’m a very sharp tongue, I’m just talking about what’s on my mind.”
Sharing her experience of working with Bhagyashree’s daughter Avantika Dassani, who will make her debut with the series, Huma said: “My experience of working with her is very good. She is very talented and bright. People would be really surprised to see her do this as her debut show. We had so much fun. She was the youngest on the set. We pulled her leg and we all had a blast and it did not feel like we were shooting such a heavy show. “

Mithya will premiere on Zee5 on February 11. In addition to Mithya, Huma will also appear in Double XL with Sonakshi Sinha. She also has Netflix movie Monica, O My Darling and Valimai in the pipeline.
