This video of the Polo’s transformation comes courtesy of Brotomotiv from YouTube. For those who may not know, Brotomotiv is an auto body and detailing shop based out of Pune, Maharashtra. It is known for its high quality paint finishes on popular Indian and luxury cars. In this special video, the shop owner introduces his latest project.

He states that this Volkswagen Polo came to their workshop for a complete transformation. The owner explained that since the customer did not want to sell his beloved Polo, he decided to give this car a completely new look. For the help I wanted to get a new facelift body kit and repair old damages on the car.

The owner stated that this particular Polo arrived at his store in very poor condition. The entire front right door was damaged and repair was no longer possible. He also emphasized that the car is 13 years old, which is why the owner bought the last generation body to revamp the appearance.

Next, the owner of the store mentioned in the video that it will also be getting a full paint job. He stated that the owner wanted the car painted in Java Green Metallic paint from Audi’s RS division.

After the introduction, the video then shows the workshop technicians working on this Polo. First, you remove all of the paint from the car. The owner points out that paint removal is only carried out on a few vehicles.

He emphasized that the cars were already painted or had questionable paint quality. They carry out complete paint stripping on these vehicles in order to ensure a higher quality of paint later in their workshop.

Next, the car is shown going through the process of denting and removing the door. The technicians then apply putty to the car and sand it with orbital sanders. The owner emphasizes that he uses a dry sanding process because wet sanding can allow water to enter, which then leads to paint defects.

The car is then completely washed and then sprayed with a dark gray primer. Then we go to the paint booth in the workshop. Finally, after cleaning the car, Audi’s Java Green paint is applied to the car. A few coats of clear varnish are then applied.
