1000 pounds. sisters star Tammy Slaton continues to showcase her impressive weight loss journey.
Tammy, 37, shared a photo via Instagram on Wednesday, April 24, of herself sitting poolside with a friend Haley Michelle.
In the snap, Tammy is wearing a blue and silver wave print swimsuit and is staring adoringly at her friend as her feet are dipped in the water.
“Proud of you 💙 #tammyslatonweightloss,” Haley, 29, captioned the photo, which was also shared on Tammy’s page.
Tammy has been keeping her fans and followers updated on her continued weight loss success, many of whom have left their supportive words of encouragement in the comments.
“You look amazing Tammy I’m so proud of you😍😍😍😍,” one person commented. Another wrote: “You have to swim! I am so happy for you! I know how much you love it, so that’s so nice to see.”

In addition to the health benefits, Tammy revealed that the weight loss has allowed her to think about other exciting developments: like learning to drive.
“I want to learn at some point,” Tammy responded to a fan’s question on TikTok in December 2023. “But at the moment the fear is just a little too great. Busy. But small steps.”
Tammy said she recently got behind the wheel of a golf cart but “didn’t go too fast.”
In September 2022, Tammy underwent gastric bypass surgery, which was largely responsible for the massive weight loss.
“I wised up and had an operation,” she said People in June 2023. “I was able to get my lungs strong enough to get my [tracheostomy tube for breathing] and then recently the doctor gave me permission to go off my oxygen machine during the day.”
Tammy continued: “Now I only wear my oxygen machine at night, along with my BiPap machine. I monitor my oxygen levels throughout the day and have my device ready in case I need it.”
Since the surgery, Tammy has been forced to stay on top of her health and nutrition goals. Perhaps most difficult of all, Tammy has been forced to drastically limit her consumption of her beloved “sodies” (also known as lemonade).
“I don’t drink soda as much anymore,” Tammy said in a November 2023 TikTok video. “I mean, maybe two 12-ounce cans a day, sometimes not even that. Sometimes just one, sometimes not at all. “
