Zendaya was absolutely stunning as she walked the red carpet at the 2024 Met Gala on Monday, April 7. The 27-year-old actress is one of the co-chairs of the event alongside her Bad bunny, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Hemsworthand of course, Anna Wintour. As one of the co-chairs, she arrived early at the event and prepared to kick off the festivities.
The challenger The star stayed on theme in her blue and green dress with a hummingbird on the side of her neck. The dress featured a billowing sash over the shoulder and she paired it with dark makeup. As the cameras flashed, Z looked directly in her direction with a fierce gaze, exuding the vibe of a villainous fairytale character.
The theme of the 2024 Met Gala is “Sleeping Beauty: Resurgent Fashion,” and Zendaya’s outfit captured that theme perfectly. Unfortunately for fans, Zendaya didn’t walk the red carpet with her boyfriend Spider-Man Co-star Tom Hollandand it’s not clear if the actor will also come out to support his girlfriend, as the two usually keep their relationship very private.
Ahead of the show, the actress admitted that she doesn’t “really know” what it means to co-host an interview The Jennifer Hudson Show In April. “I have never been a co-chair. So it’s like a host, I suppose. So welcoming people and stuff like that,” she said.
In this interview, Zendaya opened up about how excited she was to come full circle after first attending the fashion event as a teenager. “It is of course an honor. The first time I went to the Met [Gala]“I was like 18, so it’s cool to come back,” she said.
Of course, Zendaya is no stranger to the Met Gala. After skipping the star-studded event for several years, she seemed excited to return to the red carpet for it. She first attended the Costume Institute fundraiser in 2015 and has returned a few times since then with many amazing outfits, including her magical fairy godmother-inspired look in 2019 or her homage to Joan of Arc, which she cast as called her favorite piece The Jennifer Hudson Show, in 2018.
In addition to her previous amazing looks at the Met Gala, Zendaya showed off plenty of stunning outfits on the press tour for her latest film challenger. Since the plot of the film revolves around tennis, the actress has worn numerous outfits inspired by the sport.
