But times have changed, and as Gisele prepares to return to the Met Gala, Tom nurses his wounds after being brutally roasted the night before.

On May 6, 2024, the famous and fabulous will walk the red carpet outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art for Anna Wintour’s favorite night of the year: the Met Gala.
Gisele Bundchen rarely misses the event and is one of the names who is all but confirmed to attend. She is expected to step out in style alongside other stars including Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lawrence and Zendaya, who co-chairs the event.
While all eyes should be on what she’s wearing, most people will be waiting to see if she brings one very important accessory: arm jewelry.
Namely her new boyfriend Joaquim Valente. Well, “dates” don’t really play a role at the Met Gala. You are either invited as a couple or you are invited individually and then travel together. Case in point: Taylor Swift and Travis Scott were individually invited to the Met Gala. (Sorry Swifties, they’re not leaving.)
With that in mind, since Joaquim is not what you would call “famous,” he would have to be invited along with Gisele to come. This has not yet been confirmed.
However, for Gisele’s sake, we hope he was invited. First of all, it would be the first time they walked the red carpet together. Secondly, they have to save face.

The night before the Met Gala, Tom endured a litany of teasing from former teammates, comedians and even a former fling. Hello, Kim Kardashian!
Everyone’s favorite topic seemed to be Tom losing Gisele to her new boyfriend, and while the divorce brought many tears from Gisele, Tom’s “friends” tried to make a mockery of their new relationship.
“[Tom has] So many rings that he could melt them down and forge a sword and go find Gisele from that jiu-jitsu instructor,” joked Jeff Ross.
“Your ex-wife’s new boyfriend can beat your ass while he eats hers,” Randy Moss added.
Who is Joaquim Valente?
“They started out as friends,” an insider said People of the new couple. They started dating last summer, in June 2023, shortly after their divorce.
“He was a great comfort to Gisele during her divorce. Their friendship became romantic after the divorce.”
The Miami-based jiu-jitsu instructor and Gisele have remained very low-key since they met. Gisele is reportedly enjoying being with someone she has so much in common with.
“They have similar backgrounds. Both left Brazil very young. Both have built a fantastic life for themselves in the USA. They both love Miami, but also enjoy traveling. Both enjoy a healthy life. Gisele is in a great situation. She is happy and enjoys life very much. “Joaquim is perfect for her,” the insider added People.
