As Blake Shelton wraps up another successful tour, fans are hoping the singer makes a surprise appearance at Coachella!
Shelton has never played the legendary music festival before, but that could easily change this year.
In addition to the fact that his schedule has reopened, Blake’s wife Gwen Stefani will be making one of the most anticipated performances of this year.
Gwen will reunite with members of No Doubt on the main stage at Coachella.
It will be the first time in ten years that Gwen has performed with the band that made her famous in the ’90s.
Will Blake Shelton accompany Gwen Stefani at Coachella?
In a recent interview with nylonGwen discussed her relationship with Blake from a professional perspective.
She revealed that collaborating with her husband is her greatest joy as a singer-songwriter and suggested that they might release an album together one day.
“I feel like Blake and I are already a project together,” Stefani told the outlet.
“I will always want to write music with Blake Shelton.”
Gwen added that she and Blake have dueted on several songs in the past, including the single “Purple Irises,” which they released earlier this year.
The song’s lyrics were inspired in part by the challenges of life in the spotlight and the divorce rumors that have plagued Gwen and Blake in recent years.
“The truth is I’m in love with my best friend and all this shit I’m thinking about in my head, that’s all,” she said.
“When you’re in love and you have truly aligned values, no one can reach us. Say whatever you want about our relationship – I mean, we got divorced a week ago or something. “It’s just lies,” Gwen continued.
“The truth is the truth, and we know what that is. And so [negativity] would never get through just because I’m vulnerable and sharing a song I didn’t write for anyone but me and Blake.”
Neither Blake nor Gwen have commented on the possibility of him joining them on stage at Coachella.
But as many fans have noted, it’s certainly the right time for Shelton to take on a new project.
What’s next for Blake Shelton?
Blake followed in Gwen’s footsteps and left The voice Earlier this year, he recently completed one of the biggest and most ambitious tours of his career.
“That was one hell of a tour y’all!!!” Blake wrote on Instagram this week as a tribute to the band and crew who made the tour possible.
“Let’s hear it for the band and crew who have worked so hard every day to help us bring the best show to all of you!!!!”
So Blake has some time on his hands, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he plans on joining Gwen on stage at Coachella.
In fact, we’d be surprised if he did – after all, country and ska would make a very strange mix of genres.
But hey, it’s Coachella! Everything is possible!
