Phaedra Parks is having fun in the dating world – but isn’t too keen on the idea of getting married again after divorcing her ex-husband Apollo Nida.

“To be honest, it’s not important to me,” the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, 50, said exclusively Us weekly while attending the grand opening of the Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center in West Hollywood on Thursday, April 25th. “It’s really not because I have two wonderful children. I don’t want to have any more children and I don’t want to have to pay anyone money in a divorce. I want to keep all my money for my children.”

Parks was married to Nida, 45, from 2009 to 2017 and the two share sons Ayden, 13, and Dylan, 10.

Even though marriage isn’t in the cards for Parks, she shared that she does date occasionally.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta has said goodbye to many cast members since its Bravo debut in 2008 — but there’s always a chance they could return. For example, original RHOA star NeNe Leakes left the series in Season 7 before rejoining the cast in 2018. “It was a long process, but we finally did it […]

“I mean, I don’t know how serious it is,” she said Us, She adds that she enjoys being single because she works a lot. “Sometimes it’s hard to maintain relationships, and I think when I date men, sometimes they want more from me than I can actually commit to, if that makes sense.”

Parks, who played the lead role RHOA from 2010 to 2017 and is currently published on Married to medicinenoted that dating is harder after appearing on reality shows.

“They know more about you than you know about them,” she explained. “It definitely makes it a little more interesting. But at the end of the day, I have good judgment so I can make better decisions than the ones I’ve made in the past. I believe in dating, I believe in having a good time.”

Although Parks loves having fun while dating, she’s also focused on being a mom to her two sons — and is proud of what they’ve done so far.

“People tell me that my children are very well-behaved even when I’m not around. They always pray before dinner. And they’re just really loving kids,” she gushed. “They are very sensitive to people because I try to teach them that you really have to take care of not only yourself but also the community. Worry about people who are less fortunate than you. So I really try to teach them to be good people.”

However, motherhood isn’t always easy, and Parks pointed out that being a working mother comes with its challenges.

“Some people think it’s all about the money, but really it’s about time,” she said. “Money can never buy peace, money can’t buy love. … I think it’s all about giving your kids the right amount of time so they know there’s a commitment as a parent.”

As she continues to balance her busy schedule with life as a mother of two, Parks still tries to make time for herself by practicing self-care rituals.

“I am a Reiki healer. I love my Reiki. I love a massage. …But anything that has to do with my kids, swimming, mediation, sound therapy,” she gushed, adding that she supports anything people do for self-care. This includes Botox and other facial revitalization treatments offered at the new Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center location in West Hollywood.

“For someone like me who is allergic to novocaine, there’s a lot I can’t do, but I think when you feel good inside and are happy with the way you look, you just radiate better energy,” she added.
