Original Keeping Up With the Kardashians Viewers are no stranger to speculation about this Khloe KardashianFatherhood. For years, rumors circulated that the reality star was actually the daughter of the deceased OJ Simpson.
The theories only took hold afterwards Kris Jenner published them Kris Jenner and All Things Kardashian memoir in November 2011. In the book, she admitted to having an affair while married to the deceased Robert Kardashian.
After Robert’s divorce from Jenner, the late lawyer married Jan Ashley. After Robert’s death in 2003, Ashley claimed he told her Khloé was not his biological daughter.
“Khloé is not his child – he told me that after we got married,” she claimed in a 2012 interview. “He just looked at me and said [it] as if it were a fact. He said, “Well, you know Khloé isn’t really a Kardashian, right?” And I said… ‘OK’ and that was it.”
From that point on, rumors began to circulate publicly that Simpson, who died in April 2024 after a battle with prostate cancer, was Khloé’s real father.
The Kardashian family’s connection to Simpson came through Robert, who was the former NFL star’s attorney. Robert was part of Simpson’s legal team when the athlete was charged with murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman in 1994. (Simpson was acquitted of all charges in 1995, but was found responsible for the couple’s deaths in a civil trial three years later.)

Getty Images (2)While both Khloé and Simpson have commented on and subsequently denied the paternity speculation on various occasions, the situation was famously discussed on a 2012 episode of KUWTK.
In Season 7, Episode 1 – aptly titled “Who’s Your Daddy?” – Jenner traveled to Texas, where Khloé was living with her then-husband Lamar Odom.
“I know all the rumors are absolutely ridiculous,” Jenner said while trying to convince her daughter to take a DNA test. “But I know she needs this to feel complete.”

“Mom, I don’t care what they say,” Khloé said. “Seriously, my dad is Robert Kardashian. My other father is [Caitlyn] Jenner. I don’t need anyone to tell me who my family is. I was blessed to have two phenomenal fathers. I don’t need a DNA test to prove who my father is.”
Simpson also addressed the rumors, albeit years later.
“People have their types, right? I always thought Kris was a sweet girl,” the late soccer star said during the “Full Send” podcast in December 2022. “She was really nice. But I dated supermodels.”
Asked about the speculation regarding Khloé specifically, Simpson said: “The rumor is not true. It’s not even remotely true.”
