Meghan Markle brings a bit of herself to her next project with American Riviera Orchard and an upcoming Netflix series.
“The line suits her,” a source reveals exclusively in the latest issue of Us weeklynoting that the Duchess of Sussex’s “passions are cooking and gardening.”
Meghan, 42, filed trademarks in March for household goods, including tableware, small kitchen appliances, bedding, garden tools, jarred foods, home decor and more. While Meghan plans to launch multiple products, the insider says she won’t be dropping everything right away.
“It won’t be releasing a million things at once, but more categories around food and entertainment to match the Netflix show,” the source says, adding that the series “has already started filming.”
While details of Meghan’s new Netflix partnership are still under wraps, Us found out that her husband, Prince Harry, is not presented. It was previously reported by the Daily Mail that Meghan’s cooking show will not be filmed in her and Harry’s house in Montecito either. However, the pair will be seen on screen together in footage from Harry’s upcoming series, which focuses on polo.
Although Harry, 39, is not involved in Meghan’s lifestyle show, some of her famous friends will be stopping by.
As Meghan prepares to launch American Riviera Orchard, she’s been sending many of her friends a sneak peek before the products hit the market. Earlier this month, Abigail Spencer, Mindy Kaling, Tracee Ellis Ross and others reported that they had received a jar of jam from the former royal family.
“This jam is my jam,” Spencer wrote via Instagram alongside images of the curated basket. “A delicious taste of what’s really to come… I love you so much, M.”
The jam jar showcases Meghan’s calligraphy skills as she wrote the brand name for the label. The label also refers to Montecito, California, where she and Harry live with their two children: Prince Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet, 2.
A month before Meghan began launching American Riviera Orchard, she returned to Instagram to officially launch the brand after a five-year absence from the social media platform. (Meghan left Instagram after getting engaged to Harry in 2017.)
“Founded by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, in 2024,” American Riviera Orchard’s biography reads. No further details have been announced at this time. However, fans can join the waiting list via the brand’s website.
