Meet Italian model Eugenio Casnighi, who was reportedly fired from the Met Gala after stealing the spotlight from the second-most followed woman on Instagram with 400 million followers, Kylie Jenner, at the 2023 Met Gala. For those unfamiliar, Casnighi is a professional model who also worked as a greeter at the 2023 Met Gala. However, in May 2024, he uploaded a video in which he revealed that Met Gala had fired him because he went viral on social media. Additionally, in the same TikTok video, Casnighi added that the organizers disinvited him because he attracted a lot of attention. He said:
“I just got fired from the Met Gala. They fired me because I went viral last year. You told it about yourself, so we don’t want to work with you anymore.”
