West Ham United have been offered an initial potential signing for future new manager Julen Lopetegui, who is expected to succeed David Moyes when the Scot departs on June 30.

There is hope that things will now move forward quickly.
During his tenure, Moyes cemented his legacy as one of the club’s most successful managers of all time and a legend in his own right. The 60-year-old saved West Ham from relegation in 2019/2020 and then achieved qualification for Europe in each of his full seasons as coach.
Moyes reached the semi-finals of the Europa League in 2021/2022 and led West Ham to Conference League triumph in Prague a year later – ending the club’s four-decade wait for a major title.
However, fans have recently become dissatisfied with their team’s style of football and it is important to remember that West Ham’s league form has been sub-par. They flirted with relegation for most of the 2022/2023 season and have lost by four or more goals several times in all competitions this season.

This has prompted West Ham to make a managerial change. Reliable media sources claim West Ham have agreed terms with Lopetegui. The Spaniard, who left Wolves at the start of this season, is apparently set to succeed Moyes.
West Ham will not announce Lopetegui’s arrival until after the end of the season (Malik Ouzia, Standard Sport), but he is all but confirmed as their next head coach. The tactician’s debut season will be an extremely important one and Moyes will be difficult to follow.
West Ham’s summer window will also be significant with many squad members retiring, aging, out of contract or linked with a high-profile summer exit. The East Londoners, led by technical director Tim Steidten, are looking to strengthen their attacking options.
West Ham offered striker Vitor Roque £52m
According to The Boot Room, West Ham are now one of the numerous teams to be offered Barcelona striker Vitor Roque.
Agents have apparently approached West Ham about signing them, alerting the Irons to Roque’s availability for a loan deal this summer after he endured a season of limited opportunities following his move to Barca for around £52m .
“He is a promising young man with a bright future. Barça wins a lot, they sign an excellent footballer.” said Brazilian U20 coach Ramon Menezes about Roque.
“He is a very strong player who plays very intelligently and attacks spaces. He has talent, a lot of speed and a great sense of purpose.”
It appears the 19-year-old Lopetegui has a lot to offer if West Ham decide to make a formal move.
