usher said the show must go on … line up for a show in Las Vegas despite the last-minute cancellation of the Lovers & Friends festival – and lift fans’ spirits.
A video obtained by TMZ shows the pop star taking the stage at Jewel nightclub Aria Hotel and Casino on Friday night … and singing a few songs with the audience after news of the festival’s cancellation arrived.
Check out the clip… Usher appears in all white, glass in hand – and he immediately gets the crowd involved by having them sing the opening notes of a track, getting the whole place in the mood.
According to our eyewitnesses, Usher arrived to play for the club at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday… about three hours after festival organizers broke the news about it Concert cancellation due to storms.
The pre-show he performed at was apparently already scheduled, but it seems some have considered that he might cancel after the festival itself pulled out. Instead, Usher showed up and walked out… and we’re told the party lasted until 4 a.m.
According to our sources, Lil Jon and Usher’s wives are – Jennifer Goicoechea And Nicole Smith — were both there… a pretty great date night, I have to say,
By the way… there’s a video circulating on social media that shows what some online are claiming is a disappointed Usher dropping to his knees during his sound check – supposedly this happened immediately after organizers sent out the cancellation message.
I was watching Usher doing his sound check from our hotel room, saw someone come on stage to say something to him and he fell to his knees and stayed there for a good minute. This happened about a minute after we received the push notification through the app #LoversAndFriends pic.twitter.com/Ta1d6Ae4lQ

Admittedly, the video is pretty blurry and it’s hard to see what’s going on… but the figure is dressed in all white, just like Usher did in the club – so it’s possible it’s him. Hard to say.
Either way… we’re guessing Usher and the fans needed a pick-me-up after the bad news – and it seems like they all got that from his performance.
