Pakistani women And Women from the West Indies competed against each other in the third T20I at the National Stadium in Karachi. The dramatic and intense game ended with a thrilling victory for the guests, who ultimately sealed the 5-game series and took a 3-0 lead with two games to go.
Hayley Matthews leads West Indies to a competitive result
The Pakistan women chose to bowl first after winning the toss to limit the West Indies women’s batting line-up. The West Indies Women’s innings began with determination, led by an outstanding performance from the captain Hayley Matthews.
Her impressive performance of 68 runs off 49 deliveries, which included 10 boundaries, laid a strong foundation for her team. Despite some resistance from Shemaine Campbelle (31 runs off 38 balls), West Indies Women’s innings ended at 132/5 in their allotted 20 overs.
Sidra Ameen’s knock in vain after Matthews and Afy Fletcher’s bowling show
In pursuit of the target, Pakistan Women faced a challenging task against the West Indies Women’s bowling attack. opener Sidra Ameen (63 runs off 58 balls) showed resilience with a brave half-century, but the rest of the batting line-up struggled to capitalize on partnerships. Despite contributions from Ayesha Zafar (19 runs off 22 balls) and captain Nida Dar (17 runs off 11 balls), Pakistan Women fell woefully short of the target and finished with 130/8 in 20 overs.
The West Indies Women’s bowling unit showed commendable discipline, with notable performances from Matthews (2 wickets for 22 runs) and Afy Fletcher (2 wickets for 20 runs). Their collective effort restricted the Pakistan women’s chase and secured a thrilling victory by a narrow margin of two runs.
Windies captain Matthews was rightly awarded the Player of the Match award for her exceptional all-round performance with bat and ball. Both teams will now play the remaining two T20Is scheduled for May 2 and 3.

Pakistan have now lost all 6 matches against West Indies in the ongoing tour
This is a really disappointing result for them as they have had some good results at home recently
I just can’t get across the border at the moment#PAKvWI

Despite Sidra Ameen’s brilliant 63, Pakistan fell short again against the West Indies, this time by two runs.
Hayley Matthews was once again the home team’s biggest tormentor, scoring 68 points and then posting figures of 2/22 ⭐
