This summer, Twister, the iconic disaster film returns to the big screen with a modern twist. Daisy Edgar-Jones stars as Kate Cooper, a former storm chaser haunted by a past encounter. Now she seeks safety in New York City and analyzes storms from afar. But when her friend Javi (Anthony Ramos, Transformers: Rebellion of the Beasts) convinces her to test a revolutionary new tracking system in the heart of Tornado Alley, Kate finds herself drawn back to the heart of the storm.
There she clashes with Tyler Owens (Glen Powell), a charismatic social media star who makes a living by hunting down the most dangerous weirdos with his crew. Their approaches couldn’t be more different: Kate, meticulous and scientific, versus Tyler, ruthless and thrill-seeking. But when a terrible new type of storm emerges, they will be forced to work together to predict and possibly even control these monstrous forces.
The film doesn’t shy away from the raw power of nature. Get ready for stunning images of tornadoes like you’ve never seen before. As storm season intensifies, Kate, Tyler, Javi and their teams find themselves in the crosshairs of several converging storms in Oklahoma. It’s a desperate fight for survival as they navigate this unprecedented weather phenomenon.

Oscar-winning director Steven Spielberg serves as an executive producer alongside heavyweights like Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley. The screenplay is by Mark L. Smith, author of the acclaimed film “The Revenant,” based on a story by Joseph Kosinski. The characters were originally created by the legendary Michael Crichton and Anne Marie Crichton.
Twister promises an exciting cinematic experience, distributed domestically by Universal Pictures and internationally by Warner Bros. Pictures on July 19, 2024.
