Travis And Jason Kelce ceremoniously ended their live podcast recording “New Heights” at the University of Cincinnati.
The brothers were surprised with a volunteer college graduation ceremony at Fifth Third Arena on Thursday, April 11, as neither Travis, 34, nor Jason, 36, were able to walk at their respective UC graduation ceremonies. They were joined on stage by their parents, donna And Ed Kelce.
Travis wasn’t allowed to attend his college graduation ceremony in 2012 because he couldn’t return a football helmet that the school said he had lost. On Thursday, he was presented with the missing helmet so he could complete his college journey. (Both Travis and Jason played football during their time at UC.)
“Travis and Jason Kelce both earned degrees from the University of Cincinnati but were unable to attend the graduation ceremonies. UC fixes that tonight,” the sports radio host said Dan Hoard with the subtitling X Image of the couple wearing graduation caps and gowns on stage.
Hoard also shared one X Video of Travis accepting his diploma “Travis Kelce style” by drinking a drink before shaking hands with a UC professor.
In other social media footage from the podcast recording, Travis was asked to share a few “words of wisdom” as the students’ volunteer valedictorian. “Before we make this official, I want to give you some advice: You have to fight for your right to party!” he shouted, quoting his favorite Beastie Boys song, “Fight For Your Right.”
The UC Bearcats official X The site posted several pictures of the special moment on Thursday, writing, “A surprising beginning that we will never forget.” Congratulations to Travis and Jason on (finally) receiving these diplomas! 🤣.”
Travis and Jason’s special episode “New Heights” was originally scheduled to be filmed outside at the football stadium, but was moved indoors due to inclement weather. In addition to supporting her parents at the event, Jason’s wife, Kylie KelceHe was also present at the recording. When Kylie, 32, was shown on camera, she hilariously hid behind an expression on Jason’s face.
Donna, for her part, supported her sons by wearing her Chiefs/Philadelphia Eagles jersey and brought a bouquet of balloons with balloon versions of their football jerseys. “Mama Kelce wouldn’t miss her boys’ first arena show ❤️💚,” the “New Heights” X account captioned a picture of Donna on Thursday.
Travis’ girlfriend, Taylor SwiftHe didn’t appear to join the Kelce family at the taping of “New Heights,” but the Kansas City Chiefs star gave a special shoutout to the pop star. He was seen dancing to their hit song “Shake It Off.” Social media footage from the event, calling the 1989 track “one of my favorites.”
