Just a few weeks ago, Toyota launched the urban cruiser Taisor in India. The facelifted version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx is now available at dealerships across the country. A video was recently posted online showing such a top variant. The video highlights all the price differences between the Fronx and the Urban Cruiser Taisor.

It starts with the presenter mentioning that this particular car is the top-of-the-range V variant of the Taisor. Next he states that there are five variants of the Taisor. These are namely – E, S, S+, G and V.
Urban Cruiser Taisor: Prices
Following the introduction, the vlogger begins pricing the vehicle. He states that the base E variant starts at Rs 7.74 lakh (ex-showroom). Next, he states that this particular top-spec V variant is priced at Rs 13.04 lakh (ex-showroom). He adds that he is in Gurgaon and the on-road price of this variant is Rs 14.80 lakh.
He then emphasizes that although the variants are almost identical to those of the Fronx, there are some variants that are not offered on the Taisor. This includes the CNG option for the higher-spec variant. He states that CNG will only be offered with the base variant of the Taisor.
Next, he highlights that the mid-range version of the Fronx also has the option of getting the 1.0-litre petrol turbo engine. However, the S+ variant of the Taisor does not have this option. The 1.0-liter turbo engine is only offered in the top G and V variants.
He further mentions that the Taisor is Rs 22,000 more expensive compared to Fronx’s naturally aspirated petrol variants. In comparison, the base CNG variant is Rs 25,000 more expensive. Interestingly, there is currently no price difference between the top variants.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor: exterior and interior design
Next, the presenter begins with a detailed tour of the Taisor. He states that it has some external design differences compared to the Fronx. At the front, the Taisor has a radiator grille with a honeycomb pattern. It also gets a set of new LED daytime running lights.
The main trio of LED headlights have been retained the same as the Fronx. The front bumper also has an attractive silver finish in the lower area. On the side profile, this crossover gets the same 16-inch size for the alloy wheels.
However, to differentiate the two models, the design was changed to a 10-spoke two-tone color. Next, he shows off the rear of the car and notes that it looks exactly the same except for the badges and LED taillights.
Following the exterior, the presenter shows the interior of the car. He states that Toyota generally changes the interior theme slightly in the revised versions. However, this time it was kept exactly the same.
In terms of features, the Toyota Taisor comes with the same 9-inch Smartplay floating touchscreen infotainment system. It also has a 360-degree camera, wireless charger, head-up display, automatic climate control and a few other features.
Toyota Urban Cruiser: engine options
As for the powertrain options, the Taisor has two engine options. This is a 1.2 liter turbo petrol engine. This engine produces 90 HP of power and 113 Nm of torque. This engine is offered with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automatic transmission.
On the other hand, it also gets a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine. This engine produces 100 HP of power and 147 Nm of torque. As for the transmission options, it is offered with a 5-speed manual transmission as well as a 6-speed automatic transmission.
