Tori Spelling almost forgot her wedding day. It speaks of her state of mind after marriage.
In June 2023, Tori Spelling had her last marital argument with Dean McDermott. And then it was over.
Tori and Dean got married in 2006. May 7, 2006 to be exact.
Yes, that means she survived her first wedding anniversary after her long, troubled marriage ended.
Tuesday, May 7th would have been Tori and Dean’s 18th wedding anniversary
Tori Spelling talked about her on Monday’s episode spelling mistake Podcast about how she forgot the now painful calendar date of “until, no joke, two days ago.”
“It’s May, folks. “It’s a big month for me,” Tori noted to her visitors.
In addition to the May 7th anniversary date, Tori also mentioned her birthday on May 16th, not to mention Mother’s Day (May 12th this year – don’t forget it if you have a living mother in good standing!).
“I always said, ‘Hey, buddy. Sorry, you’re screwed. “In May, you essentially have three Tori days to deal with,” Tori recalled during the podcast.
That’s when it became clear that Tori no longer needed to keep the anniversary date in mind. Because she and Dean are no longer married.
“I hadn’t thought about that. May 7th will be a normal day from now on,” Tori noted during her podcast.
“That kind of hit me,” Tori admitted. “I thought, ‘Wow, yeah, wow.'”
“I mean, obviously I filed for divorce,” she admitted. In fact, Tori’s divorce filing left Dean feeling blindsided.
“We’re getting a divorce,” Tori confirmed. “But I hadn’t thought about that.”
“I conveniently block it out because it hurts,” Tori continued. It’s obvious she’s still processing a lot of emotional pain.
“At the end of the day, he, I and our kids are a family unit,” Tori noted. “He is her father whether we are married or not.”
An increasingly emotional Tori added: “Oh my God, guys, it’s not going to be about me every week saying, ‘Oh, I’m Tori, I’m alone and single!’ Or it could be, I mean, I don’t know.”
“Oh my God, I’m in tears, I actually have feelings, look at this. She exists!” Tori then joked.
Speaking of jokes, she also joked about the idea of making a necklace for Dean. A necklace of false teeth, “five of them for the five beautiful children we made.” (It’s best that anniversary gifts end after a divorce)
You know, some jokes are best made with close friends or not. Some jokes are definitely best done away from a microphone. At least Tori assured Lily Calo, Dean’s girlfriend, that she was joking.
