Tom Brady accepted his bumps with a smile However, during the Netflix live roast in his honor, the celebrated athlete drew a line at a joke.
The 46-year-old NFL alum stood up and gave roaster Jeff Ross a stern warning at one point during the show after the comedian attacked the New England Patriots CEO Robert Kraft. The comment came as Ross recounted Brady’s humble start with the Pats when he was selected with the 199th draft pick.
“He sat there waiting and waiting for days, and then you finally got picked in the sixth round when Bill Belichick’s dog accidentally stepped on the keyboard,” Ross joked during the roast.
“On the first day of training camp, this scrawny rookie famously walked into owner Robert Kraft’s office and said, ‘I’m the best decision your organization has ever made,'” he continued, pausing for the punchline: “Want to Would you like a…”massage?”
Ross’ joke referenced a 2019 incident involving Kraft loaded with Advertising prostitution in a massage parlor in Florida. He was acquitted of all charges.
Brady appeared visibly uncomfortable as he shifted in his seat after the gag. He then stood up and approached Ross at the podium while blowing a kiss to Ross, who was sitting in the audience.
Brady put a hand to Ross’ ear and he could be heard over the hot mic saying, “Don’t say that again.”
Ross raised his hands in surrender and replied, “OK, OK,” before turning his attention back to the 82-year-old businessman.
“He’s having fun, look at him,” Ross said of Kraft. “I love what you do for the Jews, Robert Kraft. You are amazing.”
The cameras then pan to Kraft, who appeared to smile in response.
At the end of his performance, Ross and Brady hugged and exchanged pleasantries on stage.

“I’m being mean today,” said Hart, 44. “I’m not being nice today, Kevin… I expect that after today I’m going to lose my relationship with Tom. I’ve already dealt with that.”
The actor and comedian added: “Tom knows I love him. He knows all my stuff comes from fun and good heart, but I have a job to do. I have a job to do.”
The roast also brought out famous faces and friends close to the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers star, including Kim Kardashian — Who was was met with boos from the audience — And Ben Affleck –WHO recently starred in a Dunkin’ commercial with Brady.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion on the red carpet included in the ET that he was “unprepared” for the jokes that were coming his way – but he has thick skin with teenagers at home.
“I’m just her dad, so everything I do is lame and, you know, there’s nothing I do right,” Brady said with a laugh. “But it’s fun to be a father. I have great children.”
Brady has 14-year-old son Benjamin and 11-year-old daughter Vivian with Bündchen. He is also father to 16-year-old son Jack from a previous relationship Bridget Moynahan.
“I certainly hope they don’t tune in tonight because there will be far too many things that are inappropriate,” Brady added, “but oh well! They’ll learn somehow.”
Brady also addressed comments he made last month He said he “wouldn’t mind” making a comeback one day and play in the NFL again. When asked directly if he ever considered coming out of retirement, Brady told ET, “No, man, I’m fine. I’m doing great.”
“I’m excited to be working for Fox,” added Brady, who will serve as lead commentator on Fox’s NFL coverage this fall. “I’ve been working really hard to really understand the mechanics of what I need to do and look forward to being on TV.”
