Yesterday we shared a video of a road rage incident where a few thugs in a BMW attacked family members in a Maruti Baleno. Thanks to the Uttar Pradesh police, these perpetrators have now been arrested. At the same time as their arrest, the BMW 3 Series in which they were chasing the Baleno was also confiscated. The video of these men sitting in front of their BMW with police officers was shared online.
This video is courtesy of Prateek Singh from YouTube. In the short clip, two of the defendants were forced to sit in front of the BMW that was involved in a road rage incident. A total of four men were involved in this incident. However, the police only managed to arrest two of them.
What happened?
For those who may not know, yesterday a video went viral on the internet. In the video, these men arrested above were involved in a road rage incident in the gray BMW 3 Series, which has now been impounded by police. A group of four men started chasing a family as they drove through the streets of Greater Noida in a Maruti Suzuki Baleno.
It all started when the Baleno was driving in the left lane and this BMW was coming from the opposite side. The BMW tried to overtake a vehicle and the right ORVMs of Baleno and BMW collided. The Baleno driver didn’t think much of it and continued driving normally.
The family in the Baleno was on their way to a hospital to meet the driver’s brother-in-law. But on the way to the hospital, these thugs came back in the BMW and chased her. They first brought their vehicle to the side of the Baleno and then said something to the driver. They then stopped the vehicle in front and blocked the road.
Shortly afterwards, three men got out of the BMW, whereupon the Baleno driver quickly reversed and drove away. Instead of heading towards the hospital, the Baleno driver drove at high speed to escape from these thugs. However, these people began to persecute her.
At some point the BMW hit the Baleno in the rear. They then came in front of the vehicle again and stopped. This time these men began attacking the Baleno directly. Once again the Baleno driver quickly made a move and got out of the situation. However, the hunt continued.
Dashcam assisted in this arrest
The only reason these men were arrested so quickly was because of the installation of a dashcam in the Baleno. The entire incident was captured on the Baleno’s dashcam and when it was shared online, it went viral. Every single news outlet shared this video.
This prompted the Noida Police to take quick action and arrest the culprits. As we have already emphasized several times, a dashcam is an essential device in this day and age when people freak out over the smallest problems on the road. Every car should be equipped with a dashcam to provide proper evidence.
