“The Voice” Season 25: Who Made it Into the Top 9?

The voice‘S Live shows narrow the selection down to the top 9 ahead of the Season 25 semifinals next week!

Every Monday Top 12 singers took the stage for their first live performances in hopes of winning America’s election and moving on to live performances next week. Trainer Reba McEntire, John Legend, Chance the rapper And Dan + Shay can voice criticism during the live shows, but the final contestants are determined by viewers’ votes.

On Tuesday’s results show, host Carson Daly brought the top 12 singers back on stage to announce the top eight singers who received the most votes – regardless of team affiliation. The remaining singers performed one final song to claim America’s victory Instant save vote to keep them in competition.

ET spoke with the Season 25 coaches before the first live show of the season, admitting they were a little relieved not to have to keep making the “stressful” decision to send team members home.

“We feel really strong about our team, but seeing people go home is heartbreaking. Honestly, we weren’t prepared for this when we signed up for this show,” Dan admitted. “At least we don’t have to make the decisions anymore – we don’t have to be the bad guy.”

As a first-time coach – and the show’s first coaching duo – Dan admits he feels “there’s more at stake – not just for our team, but for us too.”

However, he added: “I think it’s cool. It makes you live in the moment a little more.”

Although he is the only Season 25 coach to win previously The voiceJohn said he felt “no pressure, just excitement” about life.

“It’s exciting for my artists because I truly believe they all have something special to offer this show and our audience, and I can’t wait for our audience to vote!” he shared. “Hopefully they make some good decisions and hope we show them performances that deserve their vote.”

Chance agreed, saying, “I love the lives…It’s bittersweet, it’s toward the end, but it’s also when you get the most realistic performances and you really see how the artists have grown over the course of the season.”

The voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm PT/ET on NBC.
