The valley star Janet Caperna takes place from a long-time buddy Kristen Doute.
“We were really close for many years and there was just so much happening at once that it really felt like I was like, ‘Okay, I need a break now,'” Janet, 34, exclusively shared Us weekly on Wednesday, April 24th. “I never say never. And I love Kristen. I want her to be okay, but we kind of got to a point where we were like, ‘We need a break now.'”
The ups and downs of Janet and Kristen’s friendship are currently airing The valleyBravo’s spin-off of Vanderpump Rules. Since the show ended in summer 2023, Janet and Kristen have not been in contact with each other.
“It’s funny, we had a little break and then when we got together for the premiere I was like, ‘Oh, I kind of miss Kristen,'” Janet said Us. “And then an episode aired and I was like, ‘I don’t miss Kristen’.” [and] How dare she?’”

The Bravo newbie further noted that she was “really surprised” when Kristen mentioned feeling like “a pawn in the game.” [Janet’s] Game.”
“I thought, ‘What?’ And I thought, ‘Wow, she really appreciates me,'” Janet recalls. “I don’t think I have what it takes to make chess pieces and expect four different people to do all my dirty work perfectly for me. I think, ‘That’s trusting too many people.'”

While the two women have yet to bury the hatchet, Janet has forged a new bond with her co-star Brittany Cartwright.

Us weekly“Especially since I got divorced and [I’m] I’m not saying that’s definitely the place [Brittany and Jax Taylor are] “It’s just a separation at the moment, but when she took that step, we kind of came to an agreement about it,” she said Us. “I’m just letting her know that whatever happens, she’ll be fine. So this is kind of a different phase of our friendship that we haven’t gone through yet.”
Janet was previously married before finding love with her current husband Jason Caperna. Meanwhile, Brittany, 35, confirmed in February that she had split from husband Jax, 44.
The valley airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo and is available to stream the next day on Peacock.
