The final update for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will be released this month, as developer ArtPlay adds the final features promised to backers in its 2015 Kickstarter campaign.
This update is scheduled to release on May 9th and will add two new game modes as well as one free and three paid cosmetic DLC packs. A week later it will be released for Nintendo Switch.
According to its website, Chaos Mode and VS Mode are the high-priced items that have been added. Chaos Mode can be played alone or with others locally or online. Players fight their way through random rooms, battle demons and bosses, and complete challenges to earn powerful upgrades.
Chaos Mode, Versus Mode, and DLC Cosmetic Packs launch on May 9th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and May 16th for Switch!
The new modes bring online co-op and PvP to Bloodstained for the first time.

Versus Mode is a special PvP mode designed specifically for Ritual of the Night. In this exclusive arena, both players compete against waves of demons to collect souls. These souls can be used to upgrade weapons and equipment or to hinder enemies with negative effects, such as: B. filling their space with fog or reversing their control.
However, Chaos and Versus modes do not support cross-platform play. ArtPlay said more details about each game mode will be revealed as they go live.
The update also includes three premium cosmetic packs and a free pack for the character Miriam, which will change her appearance in the game. The package enables a special status bar that only applies to the assets.

Is Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night connected to Castlevania?
Bloodstained is considered the spiritual successor to Konami’s Castlevania series, which game producer Koji Igarashi was involved in from 2001 to 2010. However, in March 2014, Igarashi left Konami, citing concerns about his future with the company and disagreement over the company’s strategic direction.
Although there are references to Castlevania, the canon and the lore are said to have no connection to one another. The gameplay looks similar, but is more like a love letter to the original game.
