The Fantastic Four is Rumored to Feature the Debut of a Long-awaited Marvel Villain

The fantastic Four is currently in casting and gearing up for production, and if rumors are to be believed, a certain OG villain will be making his MCU debut.

According to scooper Jeff Sneider, Marvel’s first family will face off against Harvey Elder, also known as the Mole Man in the film’s opening sequence. Paul Walter Hauser is currently in talks for the role.

Sneider said: “Today a source told me that the script begins with the Fantastic Four defeating Mole Man, and that makes sense to me – a big action sequence at the start of the film, so Hauser would only be needed on set for 2-3 .” Weeks, after which he was able to pursue his many other projects.”

Created by artist Jack Kirby and writer Stan Lee, the Mole Man first appeared in The fantastic Four No. 1, first published in November 1961. The character’s name was then spelled in one word “Moleman”. The spelling “Mole Man” came into use a few years later The fantastic Four No. 22 (January 1964).

For those who don’t know, the Mole Man is best known in Marvel Comics as an underground-dwelling villain who was born with a disfigured face and ostracized by society, leading him to seek refuge underground. There, the Mole Man discovered a race of humanoid monsters known as Moloids and became their ruler.

The Mole Man is also notable for being the first villain the Fantastic Four faced. He commands the Moloids from below, where he harbors bitter feelings toward the surface world that has rejected him. With his army of moloids and advanced machines, the Mole Man continually tries to conquer the surface and take revenge on humanity.

Seems to be a role in Hauser’s wheelhouse.
