The Driverless Mahindra Scorpio-N Plows a Field [Video]

Agriculture remains the main source of income for more than 55% of the Indian population. However, over the years there have been a number of advances in the field of agriculture. It has advanced to the point where people in the villages are now using SUVs like the Mahindra Scorpio-N to help them in agriculture (this is sarcasm of course). Recently, a video was shared online in which a Mahindra Scorpio-N can be seen preparing the soil for sowing with the help of heavy agricultural equipment.

Mahindra Scorpio-N Agriculture

This video of using a Mahindra Scorpio-N instead of a tractor is courtesy of Rahul Rao Saheb from Instagram. It begins with the cameraman showing a white Mahindra Scorpio-N driving over agricultural land.

Then the person highlights that there is no one in the Scorpio-N and the doors show the same thing. He then shows the rear of the car, where we can see not one, but two disc plows attached to the rear of the Scorpio-N.

The owner stated that he secured them using the two shims. He then finds that the Scorpio-N works perfectly. One can notice that the car plowed the ground perfectly even without a driver.

Mahindra Scorpio-N vs Mahindra Tractor

The same person who shared this unique video of Mahindra Scorpio-N farming also shared another unique video. In this short video, the Mahindra Scorpio-N is designed to compete with a Mahindra farm tractor in a series of tug-of-war games.

Before the tug-of-war begins, the owner mentions that he will declare the tractor’s tires. This was done to ensure better adhesion to the dirt. Both Mahindra vehicles were then connected together using a heavy-duty belt. Then the tug of war begins.

In the first tug-of-war, both vehicles performed great. In this round, neither vehicle was able to completely pull the other. Then, in the second tug-of-war, the Mahindra tractor is switched off so that the Scorpio-N pulls it lightly. But the result was inconclusive.

For the third tug of war, the Mahindra Scorpio-N and the tractor were finally brought onto a concrete path. This time the tractor had the advantage of being pointed downwards on the slope. But despite this advantage, the Scorpio-N managed to pull itself up the slope.
