We have all seen the popular American muscle car Dodge Challenger in numerous films. We notably saw him behind the wheel in Vin Diesel’s Fast and Furious film series. However, a video was recently shared online showing a Dodge Challenger in India. The owner of this Challenger mentions that he brought it with him from Dubai via carnet. It also reveals the price and modifications made to this car.

This video of the Dodge Challenger brought in via carnet was shared by King Indian on its YouTube channel. It begins with the presenter introducing the owner of this special Challenger muscle car. He first asks the owner about the model of his car. The owner mentions that it is a 2023 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack with a 5.7-liter Hemi V8.

However, it is important to note that the owner misdescribed his car. In fact, the company doesn’t offer the Scat Pack with a 5.7-liter V8. Instead, the company offers the 5.7-liter V8 in the R/T variant. The Challenger Scat Pack is powered by a 6.4-liter SRT Hemi V8 engine.

The owner then states that this car has also undergone some modifications. This also includes a Hellcat-inspired hood with two air intakes. He states that he also installed an air filter and a fully custom titanium Valvetronic exhaust system. He then mentions that this car produces around 600 horsepower in total. Those who may not know the Dodge Challenger may believe what the owner said.

In reality, however, this car most likely won’t produce anywhere near 600 horsepower. The reason for this is the R/T variant, which produces around 375 hp and 555 Nm of torque with the 5.7 liter Hemi V8. Even with the modifications listed by the owner, it probably won’t produce more than 600 hp.

How did the owner bring this car to India?

After the introduction and details of the vehicle, the presenter asks the owner how he brought the car to India. The owner then replies that he brought this Challenger via the Carnet route.

He states that he had to import it via Carnet because the Dodge Challenger is only available in left-hand drive. And to legally register a car in India, it must have a right-hand drive arrangement. He added that it cost him around Rs 12-15 lakh to import it through carnet.
