Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the all-new fourth-generation Swift in India. It was reported that the launch will take place on May 9th. However, ahead of this official launch, some details about this upcoming hatchback have been released online. According to the reports, the Suzuki Swift will come with six airbags, LED fog lights and a few other convenience features as standard.
Maruti Suzuki Swift fourth generation: New details
According to the reports, the company will offer the new Swift with 6 airbags as standard. This makes the Swift the second vehicle in the Maruti Suzuki range to have this safety feature. Additionally, it was revealed that it will get the same 9-inch Smartplay Pro infotainment screen.
We have already seen this screen on the new Baleno, Brezza, Fronx and Grand Vitara. The Swift will now be the fifth model to get this floating touchscreen. It also comes with an Arkamys sound system. Most likely it will also offer wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Other feature additions include rear air vents and a cell phone charger.
It was also reported that the new Swift will also get LED fog lamps. According to reports, the fourth-generation Swift will also offer Suzuki Connect as well as USB-A and -C ports. The leaked document also reveals that the Swift’s rear suspension travel has been increased by 26mm.

As mentioned above, the new Swift is scheduled to launch on May 9th. There is great anticipation for the launch of this hatchback model. Swift fourth generation: design and engine
In terms of design, the new Swift has received numerous new exterior design updates. It will now have a much sleeker and more modern looking design. The front gets new Z-shaped LED daytime running lights, a new gloss black honeycomb grille and a new hood and front bumper.
On the side profile, it will get a set of new diamond-cut alloy wheels and traditional rear door handles. The rear also gets a new look with new LED taillights and a new rear bumper.
As for the powertrain, the new Swift will draw power from a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated three-cylinder engine tuned for better efficiency and performance in the city. The Z12E series engine is expected to feature the mild hybrid technology that Maruti offers in its other models.
